ARG provides a wide range of services designed to guide our clients through the federal, state, and local cultural resource review and compliance process. Our team of experienced professionals assists with all stages of project planning and development to produce the documentation required for successful and expedient agency reviews and project clearance.

ARG routinely contributes data for environmental assessment and environmental impact statements, memoranda of agreement, and archaeological site management or avoidance plans. The identification, evaluation, and protection of cultural resources are often just one part of a more complex series of studies and procedures required for compliance.

Research designs are necessary when a site that is either listed on or eligible for the National Register will be adversely impacted by the construction activities. ARG works in consultation with the state historic preservation office and other review agencies to develop a research design detailing the site significance, mitigation methodology, and historic or scientific contributions of the proposed data recovery operation.

Notification and/or involvement of Native American groups is becoming a more common part of the cultural resource process. Although not necessary for all projects, ARG assists with the issues associated with impacts or potential impacts to Native American concerns.

Our efforts are tailored to the needs of each client. Please contact our office for additional information regarding your project requirements in relation to the cultural resource compliance process.
